Terrible Service. We arrived and were waited on immediately. Two of us ordered cosmopolitans and were brought lemon drops, then when we did receive the proper drink it was a tiny pour in a tiny cup. We ordered our food and two more drinks for members of our party who were not there when we originally ordered drinks. It took 20 minutes for our waitress to bring the other two drinks then we didn’t see her again for 40 minutes. One of our party went inside to order more drinks and our waitress told him he needed to just go to the bar and order that they would add it to our tab because she was too busy. The bartender informed us that there were only two waitresses on duty that night (Saturday night on Labor Day weekend). Our food finally arrived about 15 minutes later, but they had completely forgotten to put one of the orders in. We were told she could go ahead and put that order in but it would take another 30 or so minutes because of the other food being cooked. We decided we would all just share our food with this person and her not get her meal. The food was delicious, but it’s hard to get past the terrible service to enjoy the food.

Recommend. Wow, after reading some of these reviews, i was kinda scared to go here. but we went and saw a band last weekend their and this place is now my favorite place to go. we had a awesome time, my friend had a burger, that was great, it was fresh and hand pattied with fresh cut ff. i had the calabash shrimp and the actual best i have had in a very long time. our server was on top of things, she was actually the manager too. i was shocked the manager was actually serving people too. the place has even been remodeled and looks great. i know where i will be on the lake this year.
We just ate here this past weekend, we had their burgers. They were hand pattied and gf.the French fries were fresh cut too…they have the best food and Our server was wonderful too..never let my drink get empty..they had a huge crowd and we were in and back on lake in hardly no time at all…I would give them 4 stars!!!
Poor Service, Poor Food. My wife and I tried River City Bar and Grill for lunch on Saturday and unfortunately we were not impressed.We walked in just before noon and there was only one patron dining and that was on the patio. The dining room was deserted. About that time, the hostess came in running out of breath. Apparently she was running late and the rest of the wait staff was down at the boat fueling stations servicing boater and the restaurant had been deserted.In any case, we were promptly seated and looking over a somewhat limited menu, we placed out orders. I had the Super Burger while elsewhere would have been called a Carolina Burger because it had chili and slaw on it. For a side I had the French Fries.My wife had a salad with a side of fruit which she said was OK but nothing to write home about.As far as my burger, somewhat overcooked but otherwise OK eventhough the predominate taste was the chili which you could tell, came straight out of a can. Fries on the otherhand were some of the worst I’ve experienced in the Lake Norman area. They were limp, greasy with not texture other than mushy. They did try to dress them up a little bit by sprinkling on Kohser Salt which would have been nice if you had a decent product to start with.It obvious that the restaurant aspect of the place is an afterthought. It’s basically a marina with a late night bar and live entertainment.Watching the staff, I would bring my boat up to be gassed up but would find someplace else to eat. Food and service are not their strongpoints although the view of the lake is outstanding.
