Always great, fresh food. Grown up eating here for 20+ years and would highly recommend. Typically get the tacos, quesadillas and fresh salsa from salsa bar.
Fresh and Tasty. Very simple food prepared with simple, fresh ingredients. Service is prompt, the store is clean, and the salsa bar is well-stocked (although during peak hours it gets a little low with the staff being so busy).Great California style Mexican that’s a good change from the cheese-and-grease that can come from the usual Mexican restaurants in the area. Although, you can take a perfectly healthy burrito full of fresh veggies and lean protein and request it be smothered in cheese and baked, or taken one step further and deep fried…

Food was great! Wifey had bean & cheese burrito enchilada style and I had the bueno chimichanga style. Both were phenom! Both meat and salsa were FRESH!
A good variety of fresh, tasty and healthful food. Unbeatable for the price. Make it as spicy or mild as you like. In cold weather, I sometimes wish they served coffee or hot tea, but otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing.
Taco combo. Stopped by and got the taco combo the other day and it was more what I am used to from these guys. Two tacos, 1 steak, 1 chicken plus rice, beans, chips and sour cream for $6. The meat was flavored well and not overcooked.11 Jul, 2009For some reason the food…. For some reason, the food here just doesn’t taste as fresh as it used to. Every time I get a chicken or steak burrito, the meat is dry and far from fresh. The salsa bar is still pretty good despite not being very clean. I still go but only because its close. Chubbys Tacos is definitely better and Chipotle is fresher.
Great Salsa Bar!. One of the best salsa bars in Raleigh! I highly recommend their tomatillo salsa. Their salads and tamales are also excellent!
