Service may be inconsistent but sushi is legit. Best, freshest sushi in Raleigh – no question. It ain’t cheap but this is what sushi / Japanese is supposed to be. If you want BOGO go to sushi Thai, if you want quality go warajii!
I do not like this place. Tried it a couple times and experienced mediocre, overpriced food and poor service.
Best Sushi in the triangle; most authentic Japanese..I lived in Japan for 3yrs & this is the closest I’ve found.Oshi!!!!!
Always Great. I have been here many, many times over the past 15 years. With out doubt it is the best sushi in Raleigh. The sushi is always the freshest in the area and very tasty. I also like their Katsu-Don. which is a breaded pork cutlet over rice & onions with an egg on top. It is a wonderful winter dish that will warm up anyone. If you are there early see if they have the yellow tail tuna cheek(Hamachi Cama) as an appetizer. It is succulent and comes with a terrific sauce. The sushi can get pricy but at least it is great quality. If you go with the cooked diner sets you can get out of the restaurant with out spending a lot of money.
Great Quality. By far the best sashimi we have had anywhere. Grilled tuna check app was also awesome. When a place has patrons lined up to get in the door you know it is good. We show up for opening on sat and there were 15 people in front of us and the place was packed within 20 min. Service was on point and the food was awesome. By far the best we have tried in the Raleigh area. I can not speak to the rolls but the freshness of the sashimi is unsurpassed. a+ on service and food. Sake flight was a good bet even at $18.
Best sushi in Raleigh. While there are many places to get fresh fish, it seems like most sushi places treat the rice as an afterthought. Not Waraji. They have the full preparation of sushi mastered. Haven’t been anywhere in the Triangle that comes close to the sushi at Waraji.Service is top notch as well. This is a very well managed restaurant.
Not sure if it was an off night but not great. Some rolls had so much wasabi you could not taste fish.
