So surprised by this little gem. I wasn’t expecting much by the outward appearance, but looks can be deceiving! This is such a great little Greek bakery. The Spanikopita was awesome and the phyllo was perfect! I’m going back!
Terrible. I have eaten here about 6 times. The service has rapidly deteriorated. The owners refused to honor my Groupon. No explanation just said he no longer accepted them. Owner lacks integrity.

High quality!. Counter service with a limited menu.Went here for lunch and was surprised to find no one else there. We had a salad and sandwich and were impressed with the taste and quality of ingredients.
Don’t Miss This Place!. A small (for now) cafe located in a plaza on the west side of the intersection of Creedmoor and Strickland that offers breakfast and lunch plus an enticing array of baked goods. (Ever had baklava cheesecake?) My partner and I had lunch there today and totally enjoyed it. She had the chicken salad that had diced carrots mixed in, all on top of a garden salad accentuated with their signature dressing. She loved it and was impressed enough to take one of their catering menus I had their special of the day: pastitsio, which was heavenly. It came with a side salad and their signature dressing. Both dishes were sufficient to satisfy each of us and leave room for dessert. We each had a bagotses — a filo-dough log, amply buttered and a delicate cheese filling.Despina’s has been open for only five months. If their offerings remain (and hopefully expand) as delicious and reasonable as what we had, they’re in for a long stretch.
Charming little cafe. We stopped in for a bite and each of us got a panini. They were both delicious, and they now offer sides other than bagged chips! The atmosphere is charming, the owner and staff are very friendly, and people were having a casual afternoon bite with their friends and family. This is a perfect spot to pop in for a light bite and some downtime with a friend while out shopping… or just to have a quiet corner to read a book and nibble on delicious fresh foods!
