Great Food, Tired Decor. I’ve always found the food at Neo-Asia (formerly Neo-China) to be great. On my recent visit, the food was once again very good. Our server was prompt and attentive. Unfortunately, the decor hasn’t been changed since my first visit MANY years ago. This restaurant is in big time need of an update. Please bring this restaurant current standards of decor and visual appeal.
In my opinion, the best asian food in the triangle. Amazing eggrolls, soups, entrees and a sushi bar that is superb. Great prices and a quaint atmosphere make it much better than p.f. changs.
Very Americanized. Their brown sauce is very very thick and salty, and their egg rolls have very thick chewy dough. Their food is very much like one of those express take out shops. There are a few restaurants in the area that are much better at Asian food – I cannot recommend their food.
New take on typcial fare!. Neo China is exactly as the name implies, a novel take on the typical Chinese-American blend. The entree’s are most appealing and always delicious. The portions are generous as well. The hot & sour soup is a must along w/ dim sum, and portobello ravioli’s….
Great food, Great Prices!. The food here is really fresh, the sushi tastes great and is priced right! I enjoyed the sushi and the thai/asian food equally, the service was slow but the food was worth it. definitely worth a try!
Dim Sum. The standard menu is your typical fare–nothing really stands out. However, dim sum on the weekends is great. It’s a fun experience, lots of different treats to sample. The skill of the chefs really shows. The red bean paste pastries, szechuan green beans, turnip cakes, pork buns… All quite tasty. Some options are gluten-friendly, but you have to ask about each pastry and sauce.
Dinner. I had Mother’s Day dinner at Neo-Asia, and I had the Moo Goo Gai Pan, they forgot the sauce on it.. my dish was basically steamed chicken.. horrible. I decided to try again for my birthday, May 24th and we got take out.. when we got home, there was no soy sauce, no egg roll sauces at all. what a disappointment..Since Neo China has changed to Neo Asia, the quality of their food has gone down hill. What a shame, I live in the neighborhood and will not go back. I love GOOD chinese food and know the difference. Don’t waste your time or money
