  Love, love, love this Chicago Deep Dish!. I must say, I was so excited to see an old style venue restaurant serving pizza in our local area. Not this conveyor belt style crud you see now a days from these franchises. I saw the billboard, and my husband and I read some good reviews, so we decided to try it out. First, I must say, I bet half the town goes there, just to chat it up with the owner! He has an infectious personality, and is very welcoming! Secondly, the decor is nostalgic and fun! A true must love for families, and young adults alike. I would say going there is a must, if you come through Lenoir! I never had Chicago style deep dish, but…I am an expert of sorts on NY Style handtossed and Italian food. I love my roots, and love the food, growing up in an Italian restaurant, has been a gift never forgotten. Let’s just put it out there, this Deep Dish is absolutely addictive! The sauce is slightly sweet with good flavor, the vegetables are all fresh, the dough has good flavor as well as texture. The owner and his son will guide you through the menu, especially if it is your first visit. This is a must, and a pleasure to experiance! The only mistake I made, truthfully was ordering 2 medium size deep dishes for our party of 4, not realizing the depth of this deep dish! The son kept asking, if I was sure…little did I know! Ha! Great value, and they deliver all over the county too! An absolute must try! If you have an appetite, bring it!

  Good Pizza BUT expect to wait. It has been over a year since we ordered a pizza (delivery) from Piccolo’s. The reason it has been a over a year is because the last time we ordered – after an hour and a half it was not at house and we called to check on it. They said it was just put in oven!!!! They said they were swamped. We were on a date and our kids were at home starving. It arrived 2 hours and 45 minutes after ordered.Today we decided to try again. It took only 2 hours and 30 minutes this time.Never again will I order delivery. If you are going to eat at Piccolo’s – Eat AT Piccolo’s or order pizza at least 2 hours before you need.

  Amazing Pizza!!. Wood fired Brick Pizza right in the dining room – watch them cook your pizza! The Margherita Pizza is wonderful!
