Nice Atmosphere but Poor Qualtiy Food. Decided to try Casa Garcia tonight for dinner since I was in Denver and my wife had a class. On the outside it’s pretty inviting and the interior is as well. Very friendly wait staff but kitchen staff proved very slow. After I looked over the menu, I decided on the Tacos Carnitas which also came with beans and rice. While I waited, I grazed on the salsa and chips. Chips very very greasy and had not been adequately drained after frying. Salsa had heat but very watery and an almost metallic taste. What seemed forever for such a simple meal, the taco’s finally arrived. The portion size was very large and while I could normally have eaten all three, I stopped at two because the quality just was not there. While a Carnita is meat cooked twice with the second normally a frying technique, what moisture there was originally in the meat was cooked out. The resulting mass was very dry and outside of the sauce, had virtually no flavor. The chopped lettuce and onions did little to add to the taste although the slices of lime did help. The beans were very thin and watery and the rice was somewhat overcooked.Without making direct comparisons, there are other Mexican Restaurants in the area with much better quality food and I would suggest trying one of those. Not a very good dinning experience and I would not recommend.

Great Service/Food. My wife and I love this place. We met the owner years ago at another restaurant in another town and loved it! We are so glad he opened Casa Garcia here. Try the Tacos al Gusto – great bet. We will be patrons for life. Heath & Cindy Woods
Fantastic Food. I love their food, we go at least once a week. Their food is fresh and very authentic. We bring our friends here and they are all hooked!
Plain Food. We were excited to try a new restaurant in Denver since there are very few to choose from. Margaritas were good. Salsa was good. The rest of the food was pretty plain. Good customer service from staff. The manager / owner (older guy sitting in the booth next the cashier talking on the phone) would not get up to greet or ring up our ticket but he would holler over is shoulder to get someone else – poor customer service example!! First and Last visit. Shame.
Great Place. The best Mexican food in town, far better than I would expect to find in the area.Excellent attentive service. I highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.
