From my experience, The Thick cut bacon is usually cooked properly to order. Some dishes tend to need Salt and pepper. I’d imagine this has a little to do with the clientele; This is the closest restaurant to a large retirement community. The Eggs Benedict are wonderful, Two nicely poached eggs over three slices of ham held up by a split English muffin. Goes best with hash browns, to soak up leftover yolk. Fresh squeezed orange juice is usually outstanding. Contracted coffee service leaves room for flavor improvement. Gyro meat is average, pita was tasty yet soggy from trip in Styrofoam to-go container. Give Stacks a try, Very busy on the weekends. Owner/Family usually onsite daily.

Bad Service, Food not cooked to order, Lack of attention to detail. My husband and I finally got to go to Stacks after wanting to for a long time. The food and the service left a lot to be desired. My husband did not get his orange juice which had been squeezed and left on the counter until he asked for it. When I ordered my bacon and hash browns I asked for them to be cooked crispy. When the order came out my husband did not get his toast – we told the waitress and she said well I guess it will be coming out soon. We were half way thru eating when I got the attention of our waitress and told her about the toast to which she immediately came to the table to see what the problem was. At this point I told her that one piece of my bacon was practically raw (barely cooked). She told me to put it on a plate and she would take it to the kitchen and have it cooked crispy as I had ordered it. She was gone less than a minute when she returned and threw a plate with a piece of charred bacon down and walked away without even asking if it was OK. This was clearly a piece of bacon that had been put aside to be thrown out because it was burned. She had barely had time to return to the kitchen when she returned with this piece of bacon. Also, the hash browns were not crispy, they were dark looking and tasted of cheese and onion. I thought I was ordering plain hash browns and had asked for them to be cooked crispy so I did not expect what I got at all. They did not look or taste fresh. We eat breakfast out every Saturday morning and this is one of the worst experiences we have had in a long time. We will not be putting Stacks on our list of places to return to and were quite disappointed as we had heard good things about them and had wanted to try them for a long time. It does not matter how great your food is if you do not or can not hire enough waitresses to handle your customers the way that they should be then you are going to have people with bad experiences as we had. I believe the kitchen was at fault for the way the food was cooked but the waitress was also at fault for not making sure that we had what we ordered and that everything was OK without us having to flag her down.
That’s a lot of food!. HUGE portions. Place was packed on a Saturday morning. We had maybe a 10-15 minute wait time but it was well worth it. The waitress was a bit off putting at times. We all ordered our own dishes plus the cannoli stuffed french toast, 4 adults couldn’t finish that! Everything was good. No major complaints.
Great breakfast! Grits are great! Huge portions! Breakfast quesadilla was delicious. Will be back!
Great Breakfast!. A wonderful visit for breakfast…excellent quick service…diverse and creative menu items…and Great tasting food! I’m visiting NC, but plan to visit again before I leave.
Food 5-stars. Wait staff & kitchen 4-stars. Management ZERO STARS!Poor front management, LONG wait times with tables sitting empty for 15 minutes common. 10 minute waits to pay when done! Thr is obviously family run place needs serious professional management help. The food is very good however. Classic Americana, diner style meals done right and in LARGE portions. Wait staff is friendly and efficient and the kitchen seems run well. Prices are very good especially considering the huge portions.Avoid this place anytime there is a wait however…
