Terrible service and food not fresh. My kids and I went for early dinner almost 5pm yesterday, Saturday, looking forward to the Italian restaurant. It had great reviews so we went. Ordered drinks and wings immediately. Got the wings in less than 10 minutes but old dry out drowned with buffalo sauce. Seems like it had been sitting out until someone orders it then smothered in sauce. Ate it because the kids were hungry and didn’t want to complain but should of. Asked for lemon for water twice never got it. Server said had to go cut some. 20 minutes went buy and still not received lemon or meals. Went the slice of pizza and calone arrived I had to wait longer for my zittI dish. Told had to bake longer. The pizza by the slice is not big at all and definitely not NY slice size! Table across from us ordered after us, four people, got their food and eating way before us. Our server paid extra attention to booth behind and in front of us by frequently asking if they need anything else. Walked pass our table about 7 times and didn’t even ask how were the wings or refill drinks or offered extra napkins since it was saucy. After my zittI finally arrived, I immediately asked for 3 boxes and the check. I felt that the server may be racist because we were Asian ethnicity and did not want to serve us?? I paid and even left a $3 tip for horrible service because I tried to understand that servers make only certain amount per hour. I left there very hungry and extremely disappointed by service and quality.
Great Food & Atmosphere. We always bring our visiting family members and friends here! It’s awesome food, service and atmosphere. Its kid friendly but would also be a good place to go for date night. We’ve tried everything from their pasta to their cannolis. Definitely one of our favorite spots!
Got a pizza here last night. It was very sparse on the toppings and the sauce. Our pie had no flavor at all. Disapointing.

The BEST PIZZA AROUND!!!. I am from NJ, the land of really really good pizza. I moved to the University Area with my Husband about 2 years ago and luckily a friend who I worked with in NJ who moved down here prior took to this place. It is the best pizza around. They get the crust the way it should be, Not to thick and not to thin. I spoke to one of the owners one day when I complimented the meal we had and told him it is by far the best pizza we have had and I even find it better then some of the pizza places back home in NJ. The owner said he was from Italy and his partner is from NY. Besides the pizza the meals are really good too. I highly recommend this place. Wish it was bigger or if they delivered but it is so worth to get food from here.
Favorite Italian Restaurant in Charlotte!. After searching through tons of restaurants online, my husband found Giacomo’s and we decided to give it a try. So glad we did because the food was awesome! I ordered stuffed shells and my husband ordered chicken parmigiana. My meal came with a garden salad and I got Italian dressing to go with it. The dressing was delicious and the rolls that came with our meals were right out of the oven, large, soft and very yummy! My stuffed shells were very good and I really liked the sauce because it had a sweetness to it. My husband enjoyed his entree as well. After dinner I noticed they had a chocolate loving spoon cake as a dessert. I had never had spoon cake before but this was AMAZING! If you LOVE chocolate this is a must try!!! The staff was very polite, personable and on the ball as well. Please check out Giacomo’s the next time you are craving Italian, you won’t be dissapointed!!!
If all you seek is pizza not so bad. My parents love this place simply for there meat sauce im not so impressed. The cheese steak was dry my first trip. On my second the pizza was decent but the garlic knots where oily and doughy very undercooked. This place was alot better when it was Carlos years ago.
