For Groceries and veggies its good ….. But Snacks are really bad.,,,,. Rajbhog is good for buying groceries and vegies….. But snacks were really bad….. I ordered aloo tikki chaat and chole puri… aloo tikki was not at all fresh n oil used was smelling really bad…. puris were ful of oil…. So my suggestion… Dont waste your money in rajbhog eating snacks…
My husband and I visited Rajbhog over the years whenever we came to Charlotte for the day. Over the past year or two, the quality of the food has declined significantly. Furthermore, the customer service is terrible. A few months ago, we bought a tawa from them. When we got back to our house (1and a half hours away and in another state), we noticed the handle was taped. Upon removing the taped handle, the handle just fell apart. Now, it’s not usable unless we fix the handle bar. The next time my husband went to Charlotte (3 months later), he went to return it. They not only adamantly refused to return it or give us credit for it, relying on their 7 day return policy, which of course is not written on the receipt, but they also accused us of: (1) using the tawa (of course we had not it was still in the plastic covering and unusable with a broken handle) and (2) purposefully putting the tape on the handle. Let’s be logically here. The tawa cost $11.99. My husband and I are both professionals. Why would we do that? I have better things to do. I wanted to return the tawa because it is BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE to sell broken items! It is clear that either they or their distributor knew ithe handle was broken. There would be no other reason to have taped the handle. One thing I know for sure is that my husband and I will not buy from them again EVER! We will also share this information with all of our friends and family. Customer beware if you visit Rajbhog in Charlotte.
Bad bad food. I went back to the place after a year and regret it! The food was bad…dosas – sour, too much aloo masal in the dosa, sambar was extremely sour and chatni was awful. The cocktail samosas were fried in refried oil and had less filling than ever..pav bhai was ok.The drinking water was warm and he would call out the token number like it was a fish market.Totally not worth going 20 miles from south Charlotte. I’m not going back…atleast for another year..Bad bad place…bewareP.s. the toilet was unclean too.
Went there looking for henna. Had been to another store, but everything looked old. Rajbhog is clean. The man who helped me was very pleasant. He helped me pick out what I needed. He also allowed me to taste some of their sweets since I had never had indian pastries before. Very pleased and will be going back again for henna and to buy some food products.
I survived on Rajbhog. Rajbhog offers a variety of food options, north indian chaat and snacks, south indian dishes, and north/south indian meals. They also have a sweet shop with plethora of options. The number of menu items is large enough to keep you guessing on what to order. For daily visitors like me, they offer a great north indian meal for a very good price, and when looking for a change I can go for any chaat/snacks or south indian options.So how is it: Their north indian thali is great, I practially survived on that, chaat/snacks are good (not authentic north indian taste though, as the preparation is a little different), and south indian food has some room for improvement.Just a great place for people eating outside daily, because of the number of options and the price range.Do check it out.Thumbs Up for: > large # of menu options> great north indian thali> economical option> place to have snacks for evening visitThumbs down for:> they forget/mix up orders sometimes, just remind them not a big deal usuallyHope this review helps.
Customers are not fools…. The food is mediocore…Only samosas are great but rest of the chat sucks…Pav Bhaji, Puri Chole..are worst than some us make at homes…An indian chat place should excel in chats..but this place is not. They have also started serving some south indian food. Dosas…a simple masala dosa is great ..but not the chutney and sambar they serve…they are the worst any one can ever make.I have told them about that twice…but of no use..A mysore masala is not made by sprinkling the chutney powder on the dosa ..but to apply spicy chutney paste on the iside of dosa..I wonder how other people eat that without any feedback to the owners…same is about the quality of other food served…everything is of low quality… and now sweets…i cannot hold these owners responsible for some of the no quality sweets as they come from NY and they donlt make them onsite..Only Mysore pak and Badhushah are good…
Home sweet home!. I love this place – it has all the snacks and appetisers you crave when you get home sick. Decent level of perfection on the chats. ( I like mine with not so much yogurt) The sweets look delish (don’t eat so don’t know)Will frequent!
