I really hope more people vote this place down, because there’s no way it deserves an over 90% rating. Maybe that was the case 4 years ago, but as of now, it’s pretty bad. I’ve been trying to visit all the sushi restaurants in the area, and the stuff they serve taste bad, poorly presented, and the service is terrible, when you can get someone to notice you. One of the worst in Raleigh. Like the previous poster said: go next door and get some pre-made Harris Teeter sushi, and you’ll be happier than visiting here. Or try Mura or Waraji for something better.
Clean. Intimate. Fast service. Great roll presentation. Nice staff, but understaffed sometimes.
93 %?!? Are the owners writing the reviews?. Let me start by saying I am not horrendously picky when it comes to sushi – I like it all & I have few demands. However, I do demand that the fish be fresh and that the rice be fully cooked, and this was not the case when my family and I went to Carolina Sushi and Roll. It was grim, grim fare – do not go to this place; you’d be better off getting pre-made sushi from the Harris Teeter next door to it.
The food and service was absolutely fantastic. All of the food was cooked to perfection. The only problem I had there today was when a crack-head came and asking for money. Besides that it was great.

Great Lunch. I go here for lunch and get the half priced rolls. Im not a big raw sushi eater so I usually get different kinds of rolls. They have lots of different kinds of rolls and have a changing half priced roll menu daily. Reasonable prices ($4-7 a roll) and great food keep me coming back weekly. The people who run the store are very nice and have suggested many tasty options for me. The Volcano Roll is awesome!
Impressed. I was skeptical going to Carolina Sushi & Roll for the first time, but after walking inside, my thoughts changed. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing with their fountain and service. The food is also excellent. Keep and eye out for the specials of the week, which should be listed on every table. I ordered 4 / 5 of them, an app, soup and two drinks. For everything it was $35 + tip, and my date and I were stuffed. Will definitely be going back.
