Mediocre at best. The restaurant was dirty and the food was marginal. The waitstaff was pleasant and attentive but they needed to clear the tables. Multiple tables sat with dirty dishes for an hour prior to being cleaned. Would not return.
Chimichangas. ‘Nuff said!. I absolutely LOVE their chimichangas. They are absolutely amazing. My husband tells me the other dishes are great too, lol. The portions are huge! Clean Resturant and efficient, friendly staff. Owner is always there and makes time to interact with customers. The best Mexican food in the area!
Absolutely Love It!. Cafe Capistrano is an amazing, little cafe nestled in North Raleigh! My husband and I love this restaurant so much we drive 45 minutes every two-three weeks just to eat dinner! The owners/managers are amazing! They are very pleasing and customer oriented. They take their time to chat with each table to make sure everything is perfect! Me and a buddy stopped in for dinner this past weekend. Experienced great food and even got a visit from the owner. Will definitely return.
Awsome. I’ve lived in Raleigh about 28 years and never found Cafe Capistrano until I was flying back from Florida and sat next to one of the owners. She told me about it. I have visited the LA area and had South Western style Mexican food before so I had an idea what she was talking about. The freshness and wonderful flavors were so good at lunch that I rounded up my whole family and went back for dinner. All I can say is there are no bad items on the menu. Everything was so fresh and great. Also alot lighter than typical Mexican food. I will go back as often as I can.Thanks to the Owners, Joni and Lee.
A GEM of great food! Fabulous Flan is THAT.. Went again, ever time I travel here I must eat here, love all the enchiladas and tacos. It’s fresh and delicious and so unlike the norm. Quality ingredients are noticeable, as is the freshness. And their server Gabby makes you feel like an old friend just walked in! Please build one in Nashville, TN! I travel their very often ! We women seem to appreciate the freshness and layers of flavors more than men do! We are pickier and if you are noit into greasy mex this is your kinda place.DELICIOUS FOOD!
Fresh & Delicious. We go to Cafe Capistrano at least twice a month. The food is always fresh and tasty. Almost as soon as you sit down, a staff member delivers free chips and fresh salsa. Their salsa is probably the best I’ve ever had, though it does leave me with garlic breath for the rest of the day. :)Portions are generous. I don’t think we’ve ever cleaned our plates. The service is usually good, though, not often, but occasionally, they can be a slightly understaffed and/or more customers than expected on weeknights.
