Love the food.. stop in everytime l come back to NC
As a Jamaican searching for authentic Jamaican cooking I was disappointed at the food I received from Lee’s kitchen. The staff was very friendly but the brown stewed chicken was not as welcoming. I ordered the brown stewed chicken and it was overly sweet, and did not taste at all like genuine stewed chicken. Lee’s needs to go back to it’s roots.
Good CaribbeanFood. I just moved up to Raleigh from Miami, Fl. and I was looking for a Caribbean Food restaurant that could compete with the restaurants in Miami. Their Jerk Chicken is delicious. I recommend it to everybody. Good job Lees Kitchen
I forgot to mention… I challenge anyone to post anywhere else that can top Lee’s Kitchen’s Collard Greens, Candid Yams and Mac & Cheese ;o)02 Oct, 2010I have been enjoying there food for many, many months now and I have never even come close to having a bad experience. The food has always been fresh & hot and the staff have been a joy. Keep up the very good work & Keep on doing just what you’re doing. If there is a complaint I have, its that they don’t have anywhere to eat in ;o)
I am from trinidad i know home cook food i went there 3-4 time but the last 2 time i went it was nasty food was undercooked an hard to eat a waste of 20$ there a new place that just opened up don don on wake forest rd i want to try caz there just not good a disgrace to my people
Reponse to June 18, 2010. Lee’s Kitchen has AWESOME FOOD!!!!! I was actually in the restaturant the day you came in and ordered the brownstew. I was a customer standing off to the side waiting on my food. You requested only wings on your plate. Everyone knows brownstew is chopped up meat and is random pieces. The staff went above and beyond to accomdate you. What you were asking for was indeed an exception and the server actually went to the back and brought up another pan of brownstew to try and accomodate you. I ordered the brownstew that night as well. Mine was EXCELLENT as usual. Don’t talk bad about an establishment because you were the difficult one. KUDOS to the staff a Lee’s Kitchen for not smacking you. Because that is what I would have done.
Disappointed. I have been going to Lee’s Kitchen for eight months. The last three times service has been horrible as well as the food. I believe they must have a new cook. The brown stewed chicken is over cooked and some pieces are impossible to chew. The rice and beans were very plain. (they did not have any seasoning on them) They gave me the wrong food and I went home and returned only to get the right food but with no apology. They have lost my business.
