I hate to write one-star reviews, but when it comes to integrity and accountability, Sarge’s really needs to step up his game. This review is more a 0.5 star review. I had been working with JW for several months before a company picnic on Saturday October 10, and he was very responsive, confirmed our event multiple times, and easy to do business with. However, within 48 hours before the event, he called and left a sketchy voicemail saying he had an emergency and needed to cancel. On my way home from work that night, I heard on the radio that Sarge’s was at Traditions event in Wake Forest. Basically, he double-booked himself with the intentions of likely choosing the more profitable one at the last minute. This really threw a wrench in our plans because we were counting on him and 2 other trucks to serve 400+ people at our event, and we couldn’t have done that with just 2 trucks. Event planning takes SO much work to get all the moving parts together & on the same page, and this really screwed us over. Sure, Sarge’s may have good food, but PR and customer service come first…. there are SO many other trucks in the area with great food and good service, so I hope you’ll take this into consideration when doing business with Sarge’s.
