  New N Raleigh location next to Raleighwood theater. We ate again at the N Raleigh location, next to Raleighwood, last night. Absolutely superb! I had my usual fish (salmon) curry and my wife had the lamb dopiaza. Together with a fresh garlic naan, a free glass of wine for Fathers Day, and free papads, this restaurant cannot be beaten for its authentic Indian cuisine. It is the best I have had outside of my native England. Chef Mohan is a genius. If you are looking for a curry that is close to what you remember from England, this is the place.

  2nd location, good atmosphere AND good food!. Just visited the new 2nd location at Falls of Neuse and the dinner was excellent. Among our group we had very good samosas, chicken curry, lamb curry, and chicken biryani, paratha. Taj Mahal now officially is one of the few local Indian restaurants that has a good atmosphere and good food!08 May, 2012Never judge an Indian restaurant by the buffet!. I am Indian and I rate Taj Mahal as the best Indian food in the Triangle area. The quality of food here is the most authentic around and we have been going here since it opened. If you want real Indian food order the samosas and chicken curry with Roti or Paratha. If you go to Indian restaurants for the buffet, naan, chicken tandoori you may as well go down the street to Golden Corral. Don’t get me wrong, I have eaten the buffet here many times and they are one of the few restaurants that are not cheap and include samosas and a good variety of curries.

  Nice!. Nice Buffet. Plenty to choose from. Best part was the fresh naan.
