Smokey’s BBQ Shack

Latest Reviews

  • Friends, I found it. This tiny shop serves up real deal NC smoke. Great sauces, both mild and hot, help the pulled pork AND the brisket instead of hid…

  • It used to be good..... But I would not recommend it anymore. The partners split up a while back and apparently the one that knew how to smoke left…

  • Hands down the best bbq place in the area…

Good Country BBQ Shack. Love this gnat line bbq restaurant that has a combination of piedmont and mountain flavor profiles. Try the pork and any of the sides. They have good mixed greens, slaw and fried okra. The pups are tasty with a good corn flavor. Dry rub is the name here. Add sauce if you desire but the meat flavors are great without any dipping.

Good lunch spot. Me and many others use this place as a lunch spot. Food is good. Ribs are pretty decent. They use more of a Memphis dry rub with plenty of wet sauce on the tables. Service is good. It can get very busy but things move along at a good clip.

Had the sampler platter with onion rings and it was very good. My favorites were the wings and ribs. Like the hole in the wall type atmosphere.

Damn, Smokey!. Love the ambiance, love the people, love the food. Places like this are becoming few and far between. Sweet tater tots – what else do you need to know?

The place for BBQ. If you like BBQ, go here. Out back they have a firepit and hardwood…you can see why the food is tasty and tender – it’s done right. Try the pulled pork or the brisket and you won’t be disappointed. This place gets BUSY, but the kitchen moves quickly. Seating can be difficult with a group, but it’s worth it – and there is a nice outdoor seating area out back. If you’re in the RTP area, this place is a must.
