Going downhill!. Bad food, bad experience with Management at the Sol Azteca Mexican Rest. The quality of the food has gone down consistently during the last year. So disappointing. The white cheese dips we always enjoyed is now a grainy, pasty mix of white ‘sauce’. No cheese included. When we gave feedback to the manager, we were faced with hostility. Too bad, you will not see us again. Stay away, there are many more tasty Mexican restaurants in the area.
Awesome resturant / been going for 3 years now!. When we first tried Sol Azteca we were hooked. Excellent service, great prices, delicious food! We’ve tried everything from Nachos to the new Special’s (I now crave the Mole Poblano and Carnitas en Salsa Verde), The quality of the food is consistent with the portions being large enough for take home. The atmosphere of being a smaller restaurant is another thing we enjoy (reminds my wife of a lot of the better Mexican restaurant’s in Dallas Texas. The Staff is always polite and professional as well as taking the time to talk to us, when appropriate. When family comes in from out of town this is the number restaurant we take them!
Spend your $$$ elsewhere!. Decent food. Decent prices. Absolutely horrible service. If you like leaving your table to go in search of a waiter multiple times over the course of your meal, this is the place for you. The fact that there was only one other family eating there on a Friday night, should have been our clue to just leave.When our food arrived, one of us didn’t have any silverware & 3 of us needed drink refills. 15 minutes later, after most of us had nearly finished our food, we went in search of someone to bring us drinks. Our waiter was ‘busy’ just standing around. 2 other times during the meal we had to go in search of someone to help us. Not once did someone stop by the table to see if we needed anything (or get us what we’d already asked for) without further prompting from us.In addition, we tried to redeem a Groupon that apparently had a bunch of fine print (which wasn’t visible on the mobile app we were using). They were extremely rude and unaccomodating about our accidental oversight (we didn’t realize we needed to tell them before we purchased the food that we were using a Groupon). A friend of mine had also tried to redeem a discount voucher and was given equally rude treatment because she’d sat with some friends & the restaurant decided to combine their checks & treat them as one group…which, according to more ‘fine print’ that wasn’t visible on the mobile voucher, is a violation of the discount rules.Horrible experience & definitely not worth the time or trouble for standard Mexican fare. Spend your money elsewhere!
Good food at a reasonable price. In my opinion this is one of the best of the inexpensive Mexican restaurants in the area. I love their enchiladas and quesidillas, always fresh and consistent. I also like to wash it down with a frozen margarita on a hot day. This is pleasant place to eat especially if the weather is good and you can sit out on the back porch.
Great, friendly staff providing fast lunch service, and the tacos a la diabla are excellent.
This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant! I can’t even go in any other anymore! The food is always great and the prices are very reasonable.
They only thing they do consistently is over charge people. The quality of the food is hit or miss, but you can be sure that they will over charge you. Their menu and posted specials advertise one price, but when you go to pay, the owner always has a reason Aston why it actually cost more. Beware of this restaurant unless you want mediocre food for an exorbitant price.
