Best, no-fuss Vietnamese in the area – reasonably priced, too!. I am Vietnamese and love Vietnamese food. I’ve tried countless restaurants in the RTP area. This is, by far, my favorite place, especially the traditional dishes: rice noodles with grilled meat, pho, banh mi, etc. I tried the Udon noodle soup dish — big mistake, not so good. Stick to the classics, and you will not be disappointed.Regarding sanitation, this is also one of the cleanest ones. I know that doesn’t say much when you’ve eaten at other Vietnamese places, but still better than most.BTW, even my picky parents have commented how good it is. Now, THAT is saying something!
Great Vietnamese option. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food is here. I had a watermelon smoothie, made with real watermelon, that was awesome. The pho was quite good but the star of the meal was the pork banh mi sandwich – it was amazing. I would return just for the banh mi and a smoothie.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! I ordered takeout 2 weeks ago ($50 worth) and the owner took my order. When we opened the boxes back at home, half of our order was wrong. Keep in mind I eat at this restaurant once every 2 weeks, I know what we usually order. We call back and spoke to the owner and asked for a credit for our next purchase… He hesitated and put the blame on me. He said that I ordered wrong and it was not his fault. He eventually agreed to give us the credit but was speaking to me pretty disrespectfully. So next week comes around and I call back to place another order (another $50 worth). Kyle I believe, was very nice and took our order without a problem. 5 minutes later we receive a call from Taste and it is the owner. Long story short, he said that he never agreed to this credit (even though obviously he had us down for a credit or Kyle wouldn’t have known about it) and told us he won’t be serving us again. I was in disbelief. What kind of business are you running here? I will do my best to let EVERYONE know how you run the business. Food isn’t even the best, you’re just in a good location because most people don’t feel like driving all the way to Raleigh to eat a Far East.
Excellent. We’ve eaten here twice (June and July 2013), and both times were delighted with the food. As others have reported, the service was very slow the first time; when we inquired, we were told that the staff was newly hired. On the second visit, even though the restaurant was very busy, the service was much quicker, and more responsive. This is likely to become one of our favorite restaurants.A recent reviewer expressed concern over the sanitation. One of the things we like about this restaurant is that it’s never made us sick, which is otherwise a common experience for us at area restaurants.
Looking for a quick, delicious meal at a great price. This is a great choice. Clean decor. Friendly staff. Pork Bun and spring rolls really hit the spot.
Great food, slow service. I really like the food here. The vermicelli with pork is fantastic, the boba teas are great and the pho is very good, I’ve only tried the well done beef. The food is great and the flavor is wonderful. My only gripe is the service. They always seem to be understaffed at lunch. Busy times leave you waiting for a long time for service. Staff members are friendly but the kitchen seems to lag getting your order to your table.
I liked the food very much and will be back for sure. I would advise them however not to serve a dessert called Three Color Sweet Dessert in a styrofoam cup because you cannot see the three colors! I loved the food and the avocado smoothie with boba was great. It does not have free wifi.
