At least they serve horchata like a real Mexican spot although I didn’t think the drink was that good there either, everything was pretty averagish. Had fajitas, burritos, and some appetizers. Prices aren’t terrible and the burritos are huge.
Absolutely awful. Our waiter probably spoke 5 words to us the entire time we were there. We had to search for him when we needed anything AND the food was terrible. I have learned my lesson though, It’s worth the drive into Chesapeake if i want delicious Mexican food.

Reliable Mexican Restaurant. I call the review reliable because of the many times I have eaten here as a family the service and food quality is top notch. I generally special order my meal and there is no problem in doing so. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The menu is varied but predictable for Mexican restaurants in this area. Food has always been served hot and delicious.
Best mexican. Great food, great service. The waiters seem to like to go a little back and forth and it keeps the mood light and fun. Awesome food.
Solid Mexican.. The small town of Moyock is lucky to have at least one dependable restaurant. El Potrillo isn’t perfect, but it’s perfectly serviceable, serving traditional Mexican-American cuisine at reasonable prices. At least one of the waiters is sort of creepy, but the management is incredibly pleasant and the restaurant is a well-oiled machine, turning out entrees within moments. There’s nothing groundbreaking about El Potrillo, but there doesn’t really have to be.
