Worst of the worst.. Mr. Lu’s is, pretty easily, the worst restaurant in Moyock. There are only five or six restaurants total, so that’s not saying a lot. Then again, most of the others are also pretty bad, so that makes Mr. Lu’s the worst of the worst. Mr. Lu only makes one sauce. Beef and broccoli? Szechuan tofu? Hunan shrimp? Identical sauces. Mr. Lu is very big on onions. Whether you’ve ordered mixed vegetables or shredded beef, expect to find at least one entire onion chopped up into in your dish, taking up the space that might have otherwise been filled with more expensive ingredients. Mr. Lu is also very big on MSG. If you have any degree of MSG sensitivity, you’ll be lucky to make it through your meal before your sinuses are petrified. It’s been quite a while since I ordered a full meal from Mr. Lu’s (I still stand by my review, as my agents assure me nothing has changed), but I recently decided to order some soup and wontons to fill out some leftovers from a better Chinese restaurant. I phoned the order ahead, and arrived fifteen minutes later as had been arranged. I then had to wait another thirty minutes before I was handed my order, which had been sitting on the counter the entire time. That’s some great service for you. The sad thing is that Mr Lu’s is always packed. It’s amazing that so many people would rather feed their families absolute slop than drive fifteen minutes to greener pastures.

Yeah, it’s OK.. Have had much better, but it blows away the local competition. That said, there is no local competition. The place is made for carry out, not much to eat inside. Reliable, quick, cheap. You won’t get sick, you want rave, but you don’t have to cook either, nice break in a town with little else.
