I work in downtown New Bern and if I had to throw a guess out there, I’d say I’ve eaten there on over 60 occasions. Only once was I left unimpressed… the Fried Green Tomato BLT could use more tomato (just my opinion). Every steak, seafood, or pasta dish I’ve had has tasted great and had brilliant presentation. For lunch, you can’t find a better cheeseburger anywhere and Chef Ashley recently added a pork belly and duck egg dish that will blow you away. The servers are always very friendly and accommodating and the cocktails are nice, too. Hands down, my favorite restaurant in New Bern.
This was a great place to eat and had this best scallops i have eaten in my life. The chef of this restaurant is awesome, came to the table and greeted us. Definitely will be back.

I have been in town for two weeks and eaten here 5 times. Best food in town. Great service. Fun bistro atmosphere. Brilliant specials. Decadent desserts. A gem for New Ben.
Beautiful presentation of horrible food! Lamb chops were 60% fat, blue crab was cold and tasted off, pork chop was undercooked with blueberry pie filling poured over top. Our meal cost $140 and we left it all on the table after 2 bites and drove directly to Burger King. Horrible experience!!
Sunday Brunch – I ordered the Southern Croque Madame, Housemade Canadian Bacon, Poached Egg, Swiiss on sourdough with a Mornay sauce. I was able to add lump crab of $3 and it came with a side choice, Parmesan grits. Slow to come out of the kitchen maybe due to the poached egg being more hard boiled than poached. Good looking menu, I’d give it another shot.
Had dinner here last night and decided to come back for lunch again today. It’s the best place in town hands down.30 Jan, 2013Best place in town.
