Dear Carolina Bagel,. I miss you. No matter where I’ve lived, which city or any state… I have always craved your Strawberry bagel and sandwhich choices. I miss you so much. Every time I am in town I make a point to eat there, or even grab some bagels to go. I don’t even care that you have short hours and aren’t open on Sundays… I always made time on YOUR time to go eat those amazing bagels.
I ordered a Poppy bagel for myself and a chocolate chip muffin for my daughter. Both were very good, but the staff was as rude as rude can be.
AMAZING!!. We have recently moved to New Bern, NC and live close to Carolina Bagel. Saw it and thought we’d stop in to give it a try. Although we weren’t exactly sure if we were supposed to go to the register (yes) or be seated and order at the table (no), we found the menu, the price, the staff – everything to be spot on terrific! Can’t wait until tomorrow!!!
Only show in town. No one else in town makes fresh bagels. We buy them here every week and bring them home. Always delicious. They will even bake them to order the same day if you have a special request and call ahead. It’s always crowded in the morning and during lunch. The sandwiches are delicious and filling. Service is very friendly and prompt. No complaints! It’s just a shame they are not open evenings or Sundays.
Order the Ru-Bern if you like Rubens!. Had lunch with a client and I ordered the Ru-Bern sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. Probably the very best Ruben I’ve ever had. Good service too rounded this visit to 4 stars!
Authentic, delicious. Great bagels and excellent sandwiches. Manhattan meets southern charm in a neighborhood favorite packed with long-time residents and newcomers alike.
I love this place, but I get it to go because I can never find a seat. The lox is my favorite, and as far as I know the only place you can get it since Pollock Street Deli dropped it from the menu.
