Not impressed. First the owner asked us for our drink order. I placed mine and before my fianc could barely get his out she was walking off. When she came back to get our food order she wanted the whole order not just the appetizers. We orders Caprese for the appitizer. It was ok. We got small salads with the meal. Basic lettace, one alive tomato and one slice cucumber. I orders Lobster Ravioli and my fianc order stuffed chicken parmigiana. The Lobster Ravioli was all crab. No Lobster! The Stuff Chicken Parmigiana crust was burnt on the edges. The sauce was runny. No one ever asked how are meal tasted. On the up side the garlic butter and beard was very good. Won’t be going back.
SURPRISINGLY DISAPPOINTING. After having eaten there twice we are amazed that you must make reservations . They are very successful, but we can’t understand. The marinera sause has as much body and flavor as a can of tomatoe sauce. I had to drown my dish with the pitiful parm cheese to add flavor. I had the soup and my wife had the salad. The soup was a thin vegetable soup that tasted like a can of vegetables in a thin watery base. And for $3.99 there was about one cup of serving. The salad was a pitiful dish with little flavor. The eggplant was bearly recognizable. The sauce covering it was the same thin watery tomatoe sauce. I suggest the owner go to Olive Garden and see how a soup is made and served. I’m not claiming that the Olive Garden is a genuine Italian restautant, only to reference a pretty good restaurant for comparison. This is our third try and last for certain.
AMAZING! Our dinner here was wonderful! I had the chicken Alfredo and tiramisu, one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time! Staff was friendly and fast!
The food was awesome. Bruchetta was delicious. Shrimp scampi is highly recommended. Service was great…everything was great!
Phenomenal!. Both the food and service is amazing. My husband and I eat here regularly. The Alfredo sauce is to die for! And the chicken parm is delicious!
Order anything on the menu!. We have dined at La Rosa more than I can count. We take visitors and friends there. To a person, all rave about the food! Best in New Bern area!
Mangia!!!!. Going Away, the most fantastic Italian Restaurant in eastern NC!!!!!!—- the best authentic Italian restaurant with an owner who oversees every aspect of the operation. The food is consistently delicious and the value is unmatched. The SECRET: fresh ingredients, cooked to order with an hands-on owner. Every visit reminds me of times I spent in southern Italy—-Fantastico !!
