My favorite BBQ place in New Bern. Great food and prices, clean and friendly place.
I like it the best. Back for only our second visit last week and I am convinced I prefer SCB above the others. The Q has less fat and gristle, is sauced properly, and the counter personnel are very friendly. I also prefer their coleslaw to the others. It also nice having potato salad instead of ff. We also had chicken, and while not the secret herbs and spices, it is fried perfectly. This is now our preferred takeout.
An absolute must have!. Jus cant beat that combo platter! BBQ and Fried Chicken with slaw and fries… not to mention the hush puppies & 1/2 gallon of Sweet Tea! I stop by every time I go home. I LOVE IT. They should deliver to Virgina Beach.
Better than the other one. Our family prefers Smithfield’s over locally owned Moore’s. The BBQ is typical NC pork, as well as chicken. They’ve got the formula down pat. Delicious. The place is clean, service is friendly and quick, and the prices are good.
Very clean! Fast service. They offer some booths which are great for parents with young children’! Very pleased!!!
A good place to go get some fried chicken and barbecue. I recently visited this restaurant and enjoyed some grubbage while watching a football game on the TV. The staff came by every so often to refill my tea and see if I needed anything.
Consistent and great. This is real North Carolina barbecue.
