Great place for lunch. The lunch buffet is great and the food is delicious. We like the atmosphere and service is very nice and friendly.
A bit pricey…. A friend and I decided to try this place for lunch and unfortunately we missed their lunch time…and so it was dinner pricing. We spent $26 on lunch and it wasn’t impressive. My friend had a shrimp salad which looked good…and I had some sort of eggplant in coconut milk dinner…with chicken if memory serves me right. It was good…but it wasn’t great and I’ve experienced some fantastic Thai fare. I may try it again for lunch…but the pricing for dinner is quite pricey.
I really like this place, the seafood is fresh, the curry is excellent, satya shrimp app really tasty, the big bonus is telling them how hot you like it. I had spicey seafood lover and it was spicey! Been there three times and ill be back soon!
Clean and good service. Had a nice dinner the other night. Thai Thai is much cleaner than most ethnic restaurants and the food is good. It is so nice to eat at a small place where it is obvious that cleanliness and graciousness are important. I will return.
Hidden gem!. During a recent vacation in New Bern, we came across Thai Thai and decided to give it a try. My husband had a very enjoyable spicy soup as an appetizer while I opted for satay. We shared bites of each other’s choice and both were quite good. For dinner there was Pad Thai, nice bit of heat to it tempered by the crunchy peanuts. Also enjoyed was Duck Curry, this time the spice was tempered by a slightly sweet coconut milk sauce. The staff was very friendly, prompt courteous service and also extremely affordable.
Something different in Newbern.. If you’re looking for something different, or something with an Asian flair that isn’t a Chinese buffet, give this place a try. The food is standard Thai fair, curries, coconut milk, spices, etc.
Enjoy this place. I haven’t eaten in many Thai places but I enjoy the food here as a change from the mostly boring restaurants in this town. The lunch buffet is a good way to sample different foods without committing to a single dish. The red curry chicken is excellent. Staff is friendly, attentive, and flexible- they were able to cook chicken nuggets with no sauce for a small child and didn’t charge anything extra.
