Best Mexican/Southwestern in town!. This K-38 is located in the booming Porters Neck area. Always popular, this place has impeccable decor and atmosphere. Service is prompt and friendly. Their selection of Mexican/Southwestern dishes is mind-blowing.
Terrible service, food just ok, drinks expensive and weak.
Not what it used to be. Ate lunch at PN Baja today – beyond disappointing! Had taquitos for apps and they were extremely greasy, enough left on plate to fry a new batch. Baja fish taco used to be my fav, but now it is just a fishy tasting cold cheese and tomato sandwich. So much cold shredded cheese on the bottom of the taco that I had to scrape it off, along with the huge chunks of tomato so that I could taste the one, very small piece of fish – also with extra grease. My companion’s carne asada ha similar proportion problems, but without the grease If fish is at a premium or scarce – stop selling the tacos. Don’t put out an inferior product. Also – the wait person was slow to non-existent, so most of our service was provided by manager making up for her absence.. Very unusual for Baja normally. Guess I will stick with the Oleander Baja Grille, unless that one starts to follow the path of Porter’s Neck
Good, but not great.. Hubby and went to this location before meeting a friend that lives in PN. The space is pretty and considering it was Saturday night at 6:30, very quiet. We each started with a margarita (El Blanco) and the complimentary chips and salsa. Both were very tasty. For appetizers, we ordered a small guacamole and split a chile relleno. The guac was good, but I would have liked a little more heat, but the relleno was quite good (need to see if they offer it as an entree.)For entrees, I had the fish tacos; both were tender/crisp and very good, but I preferred the San Felipe. I also thought they were better with the salsa. The yogurt ranch was just too much for the delicate fish. Hubby had the camarones enchiladas. Again it was delicious. The not so good; beans and rice. The beans had some sort of seasoning that just did not work and the rice was parboiled and just not good at all. The service also leaves something to be desired; we should have been given choices regarding tortillas, but she just decided we needed flour. I would have loved to have tried the home made corn.I think we will try it again (most likely the other location) but they do have some things to work on.
Yeah… it’s good.. Food is great! Try the Baja Rolls, they are ridiculous!
