Cant wait to visit again!. This place is a diamond in the rough! Almost everything on their menu is organic and/or local. Great place to get a taste of the local seafood without breaking the bank! Atmosphere is wonderful and the whole staff is awesome. We got a chance to meet a lot of great people while staying for a late night drink over the weekend. Every time we have been we have tried something different and can’t complain about one thing.
Not so much. Have eaten there on a couple of different occasions. If you are a local, it appears, you are treated differently, i.e. bring your own wine, people fall all over you. Make a reservation and if a local doesn’t, show up your good, otherwise you wait, or sit somewhere other than what you would like. also looks as though at least one of the chefs, shops at Harris Teeter for their special Ravioli of the night. Over all, not bad, but not what they advertise on their website for a chief that claims to have the creditintals that the owner claims.
SPRING HAS SPRUNG. After arriving back in town from a trip we stopped in at cornerstone. Not only do they adjust the menu accordingly, but they also add drink specials and adjust to a summer draft lineup. A new twist is their expanded hours, and live music. If you all take the 140 bypass from downtown its a quick trip. For all of you that live on this side of town its worth the drive to the Porters Neck area. Not a bad way to end a trip to Lowes Hardware, or Harris Teater. The staff is always helpful, and knows their task at hand. Unlike other spots in town they are never short handed. I am surprised not many others have reviewed this spot. By the looks of things and the quality of the dishes that roll out of the kitchen all systems are a go. They have all the bases covered, and its CLEAN! Give it a try, if you have any questions when your there ask your waiter, or ask Josh or Logan.12 Feb, 2012JUST THAT GOOD. It has been over a month or two since we had been to Kornerstone. To our surprise the holiday season has not slowed this place down. It seems that the culinary gurus are up to the task with giving their patrons such a choice on their daily specials that it seems the regular menu items never seem to hit my table. if you never have given it a try do yourself a favor and please do. If you don’t think you can improve on a good thing they continue to prove me wrong. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted in a way a customer should. The wait staff, bartenders, kitchen staff and management are top shelf. The entire staff is both friendly, and helpful. Don’t be afraid to order a special! The range of items on the menu and specials will satisfy all in your group. There is nothing not to like. Just writing this is making me hungry for more! And yes they are open for lunch. You will put this in your rotation of places to frequent.
