Disappointed!! Riverview Cafe has really gotten bad. Terrible service, dirty restaurant, small portions, high prices, and mediocre seafood at best. I will not be going back. I’ll take the extra few minutes to drive down to Topsail for good seafood.
Great food and service. Picked up my grandson at Camp Lejune and we went to Riverview Cafe for dinner. The food was very good and there was a lot of food, well worth the price. I had the three fish platter and everything was great. My grandson got the ribeye which he said was great. Steak in a seafood place is not my choice but thats what he wanted and liked it that was all the matter. Would return and recommend.

Superb Fried Flounder!. I love this place! I’ve been going here for 10+ years and I’ve never had a bad experience. This is where I got the best fried flounder I have ever had–no contest. I had such a great experience there the last time we went, I wanted to just hang around Sneads Ferry for 2-4 hours until I got hungry again, but my friends wanted to get back to Topsail Island, which made me sad. In less than a month, I’ll be going back and ordering that flounder again and I can hardly wait! Everything else is great too. Love the home-made desserts!
It’s Where The Locals GO!!. Riverview is a mainstay of Sneads Ferry. We’ve been eating there for over 10 years! I personally do not like any kind of seafood, but, my hubby absolutely LOVES their fried flounder! He says its’ the best around! I eat their grilled chicken and it is great! Only thing I wish is that they had a better vegetable selection. They have alot of fried veggies but no regular ones like green beans, peas, carrots, corn, etc. They do have baked potatoes which is good. We don’t eat desserts, but, their homemade pies sure do look good!!! Maybe one day we’ll give in and get a slice of heaven!!
My family and I went to Riverview Caf several times in 2012 and had a very nice experience, HOWEVER we recently went back for Father’s Day (2013) and the seafood, staff, and atmosphere was terrible. The wait staff was beyond rude and untrained. The food was disappointing, drive-thru quality. When they messed up an order, they did not even offer to fix it when we asked!! Lastly, the bill was outrageous- we will NOT be going back.
