Horrible Service. Went there once. Had to wait 40 minutes for a beer. Ended up going to get it myself, and they tried to charge me for it twice.If you’re going to go to a chain restaurant, there are plenty of others around that can perform simple tasks competently.

WOW…. I really can’t believe this first review. I always hear good things about The Hickory Tavern. I am actually here right now eating dinner and decided to write a review. I enjoy the food here…most people do. I guess this review is just one person’s really bad opinion of a great place with great food. The servers that work here are really nice and have a great sense of what I need before I ask for it. They are always on top of things when I come in here. The managers always come by for a table visit and if I have any complaints or concerns, I never do, they assure me that things will be taken care of. I don’t think the food is over-priced. I think their portions are very large and you definitely get what you pay for. On some occasions I’ve had to half my food and box it up so I don’t eat more than I need to. They have great desserts and they are also very large and like nothing I’ve had at other places in the area. They have daily specials and events on the weekends. They have live music and on some nights they have UFC and Karaoke, which is perfect for my circle of friends when we go out on the town. I can’t see how this place got such a bad review.
Extremely Poor Service. The service at the Pinehurst, NC location is exceedingly poor. The hostesses appear more interested in socializing with one another than assisting patron. Food is mediocre. Management appears content with that. Best avoided. Recommend Dugan’s Pub, Darling House Pub or the The Bell Tree for similar menu, better food and MUCH better service.
