I took my friends to experience Buca Di Beppo on Sunday, October 29, 2017 and it was a disaster…First, our soda glass had lipstick on it, then two forks were broken…service was horrible but got better when we complained to Manager…I ordered a small pizza and it cost 18.99 for just few pieces of sausage – ordered eggplant parmigiana for 24.99 and had to ask for bread. They did not give us house bread because we had ordered garlic bread. I ordered the eggplant to go for my husband – he was so disappointed – we could have made whole dinner for six for the amount of eggplant we got…just a few slices of bread and that we had to beg for. I hope you can rectify this…I didn’t notice the price of the pizza until I paid my bill…unheard of – it was a simple pizza w/few pieces of sausage and no cheese as I had requested not to put on it Horrible experience.

One of our favorite stops when we are in Charlotte. The quality of food is never lacking. We have been at all times of the day and have always had a great experience. We tend to go local or with mom and pop type places but this one is a must. The restaurant is loud, hectic and full of fun. The decor is outrageous. The servers are fantastic! We had my birthday dinner there and came back the next weekend for more. If you get a chance, try it!! The Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken is our must have. The pesto sauce that comes with it should be jarred and ready for take home.

I would have to agree that this place is mediocre at best. Do not expect a great lasagna, it was rather meaty without much flavor. The gnocchi was really bad because they weren’t cooked right, they were very chewy and a bit hard. And the baked ziti was a bit overlooked and didn’t have enough sauce. Despite all the negativity, their salads were pretty good and the decorations inside were really neat.

Mediocre at best. Having studied in Italy, I know good Italian food. Buca is NOT it. My stuffed shells were uncooked on top. The sauce tasted like it came from a can. Go to a real Italian restaurant!

Another great experience. This was our third visit and I have to say it was a great experience again. Our waitress could not have been more pleasant, prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our food was great. Our kids loved it. We ordered a small Fettucine Alfredo, a small Lasagna, and green beans. For the four of us it was a lot, with plenty of leftovers.

Excellent Dining Experience. After much debate, my wife and I decided to give this place a try. We really weren’t sure how a Italian Restaurant with food served Family Style was going to work out. Our culinary tastes are so different and she’s always on a perpetual diet so I had some trepidations. In the end, this turned out to be a great dining experience. We thought they opened at 11:00 am and arrived at 11:15 only to find that opening was at 11:30. They very graciously went ahead and seated us and took our beverage orders. Service was very prompt and efficient.I let my wife chose the entree and I chose the appetizer and salad. Ecah one is suppose to serve two and everything is ala carte which means that each of these items has to be ordered seperately and is priced sepatatedly so a bill can add up quickly. For the appetizer, I chose the Mozzarella Caprese and for a salad, the Apple Gorgonzola. For the entree, my wife chose the Veal Saltimbocca and we also ordered Mozzarella Garlic Bread to wo with the meal. The Caprese was very good although it’s a little early for tomatoes so they were not a sweet as they will be later in the season. The Apple Gorgonzola Salad was excellent. A blend of lettuce with plenty of Gorganzola throughout and not just on top along with nuts and cranberries. A very good variety of tastes and textures that go together quite well. The Veal Saltmibocca was excellent. Properly prepared with full flavor and yet still tender. The aritchoke hearts very a good compliment. As I said, if you’re not carefull it can add up quickly but it’s still a great value. The quantity of food is very large and easily will serve a third party or you end up with a very large doggie bag to take home for later. While it is a chain, the do a lot of couponing and it’s not hard to get a $10.00 coupon right off the bat.Service as I pointed out is excellent. Not sure what to make of the atmosphere. I know they ae trying to create a Italiian Neighborhood feel and they do a good job of doing that. Walls are lined with photographs of Italian families and everyday Catholic religious leaders such as nuns and priests and an occassional Cardinal.. Works well in areas with a large Italian heritage but most of it is lost in Charlotte because we just don’t share that heritage. What we do share is a lover of good Italian food and you will defintely find it here.Throughout our meal, the music in the background was straigtht out of the ’50 heavy on Sinatra, Como, Dean Martin, Frankie Avalon etc with an occasional track in Italian. You’ll feel you’re in North Jersey real quick. All in all, a very good dining experience. Food was good and pleanty of it so guess what I’m having for dinner. Atmosphere was good and the service was outstanding. Value is definately there and will be back.

Ordinary & Expensive. Very disappointed in quality of food (something you could buy in warehouse club) and very expensive. 8 stuffed shells $27 — and not that good. Cannot understand why people go there. Will not go back.
