Went there with over 20 people, we had reservations for dinner and to stay over to have a few drinks afterwards, but we were told that we had to pay 10 for the girls and 15 for the guys if we wanted to stay past 10pm. The manager did not even wanted to discuss this so we all got up and left. We went next door to Don Pedro, great service and no need to pay extra for anything else… I would never go back to a place were not only their prices are more than normal, but where they give such treatment. Never again.
Kicked Paying Customers OUT!!!. I am very disappointed with Vera Cruz Restaurant. We made reservations for a large party of 20-30 people to come and eat at their restaurant way in advance. We were celebrating a friend that was moving to Honduras. We got there bought food and liquor and was told that we couldn’t stay there unless we paid the additional $10 for a live band that they were having that night. There was nothing that advertised that at the entrance of the door and they didn’t even take into consideration that we bought well over $10 in liquor and food. The waiter was really rude and demanded that we leave. The owner in no way tried to take care of us as paying customers. I will never go back to Vera Cruz restaurant.

No go. Clean and friendly place, but absolutely not authentic Mexican food. the enchilada sauce tasted like marinara, and ground beef was seasoned similar to something out of a hamburger helper box :/ …..unsure how it gained an approval rating in the 90’s ???
Perfection. Great food, great service, great drinks and great prices.What more could a person or family want?Services is spot on, the food is consistently great everytime we walk out of there was are stuffed and happy and we have not emptied our wallets.
Finally Found A Home!. My wife and I are native Texans, and admittedly are Tex-Mex snobs.We have been looking for a slice of home since we moved hire 6 years ago, and finally found it with El Veracruz!A lot of Mexican restaurants in Charlotte, are OK, but this is the first place we found that we both really love. My wife says the chips and the flautas are the best she’s had here, and I can say the the enchiladas verde are tops on my list. Service is friendly, beer is cold, the food is great, and the price is right. What more could you want?
