Pasta Dish Way Overpriced. Went to Maestro’s 8-23- 14 with a group of friends. My pasta dish, besides being over priced, was terrible (salad is $8.00 extra). Chef should go back to culinary school. It was flavorless. The owner/waitress was the only one serving on a Saturday night, come on! Most of the night we kept looking for her for service. And for that 3 hours of waiting and looking she tacked on a 20% tip (totally undeserved with no apology for all the long waits) . How this place got good reviews is beyond me. People will definitely hear about this through word of mouth. $70 for a lousy pasta dinner with a beer and a glass of wine for 2? Will never go back again!
From Columbus Ohio. We have eaten in many fine establishments across the country. Maestro’s measures up to any of them. 2of us had the flounder special and it was over the top. 1 of us had the horseradish encrusted wild salmon, also fabulous. A delicious bottle of Banrock Shiraz was the perfect compliment. This is a hidden gem that the folks from Charlotte should be flocking to enjoy. Well done!
Not worth the money and we even had a coupon. went out for a nice dinner bc we pass it everyday…food was plated nice but warm at best. Drinks took 15 from the bar after we checked on them ourselves. 1 sever for 6 tables. she was nice. We wont be going back.
My partner and I are from the Raleigh NC area and wanted to get beef wellington. We googled it and this place was the only restaurant that made beef wellington in the charlotte area. We looked at their menu before we arrived and noticed that we had to order the beef wellington 4 hours ahead of time so we made dinner reservations. We got to the restaurant around 6pm. We requested to sit on the patio and we are happy we did. The atmosphere was wonderful. The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife couple. The wife, Pam, I believe, was friendly and timely. We ordered a filet and the beef wellington. It was AMAZING! Both our meals were fantastic. The food is completely worth the amount asked for. It is amazing. We reccomend this restaurant to everyone! It was a great way to spend our 1 year anniversary.
Wonderful evening. Had a wonderful meal – -pleasant decor, decent wine list and menu. From the appetizers to the desserts (don’t eat so much that you skip the desserts! They are all baked on premise and will not disappoint), the food was prepared as described and to perfection. Was surprised to see they covered the table in a plastic table covering (did have cloth napkins though) and margarine served with the bread. That did not go with the quality of the food and service. I look forward to going back. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely Fantastic!!. Joined my sister and her husband at Maestro’s for restaurant week. They had such a mouth watering extensive menu to choose from (5 apps & entrees as opposed to 3 like most other restaurant week participants). We shared the zucchini fitti, cajun shrimp and Brie, Bleu Cheese & Port Wine Onion Pit-za . We all agreed that they all tasted wonderful. My sister and I had the Filet Mignon with Crab Fondue which was such a departure from how most places serve filet. It was absolutely delightful. The filet was so tender and melted in your mouth. The side veggies were cooked perfectly and the buttermilk potatoes were REAL potatoes! My brother in law had the Peach Barbequed Pork Strip Loin – his plate was clean in a blink of an eye which can only mean it was spectacular. The deserts were so large I couldn’t finish it. The service was above par. Their website is not lying as it describes Maestro’s as upscale but not uptight. Everyone there was polite, fun and very good at what they did (coming from working in fine dining for 4 years I expect those things). I will definitely go back and spread the word to my friends and co-workers.
