Went recently for a party at Wan Fu and the food and service was perfect. We started with the Szechuan Wonton W/ Peanut Sauce and shared it between three of us. I normally don’t like too spicy a food but this was perfect. A little spice and then it wore off quickly. Perfect. We ordered steak and shrimp with asparagus, Asian chicken and Asian shrimp and scallops. We shared between the three of us and enjoyed every bite. A member of our party ordered the Ruby Dragon and we were told by someone who had ordered it previously thatit was so good you’d suck the bones after you got the meat off. Now that’s an endorsement.One member ordered thesteamed pork dumplings and one ordered a spring roll. The red wine was great as was the plum wine which was sweet and cold just like I like it. They have a full bar so feel free to order a cocktail. I didn’t think the cost was too much. The plates were huge and filled with food. They served steamed white or brown rice in big bowls set in the middle of the table family style. You could order fried rice if you wanted it.We will definitely go back and try different meals to share.

This is our absolutely first pick, hands down no comparison, for Chinese food in all of Charlotte and the surrounding towns. The service has always been exemplary and the food is delicious. If you want excellent Chinese food, a welcoming atmosphere, and fantastic service, you can’t go wrong here!!!
Bad experience on Dec 25th 2012. What happened with your kitchen staff last night ? you would think that in your busiest night you would be 100 % prepared to serve your clients and show them what customer service really is right ? well what happened last night was a restaurant nightmare, those that you watch on TV, yes they actually are real and I experienced one of those nightmare at this restaurant, it was my first time there, but the lack or organization was tremendous, the food was about 2 hrs late and cold, obviously ! lessons learned, stay away from WAN FU restaurant , service was bad, kitchen personal needs to evaluate what they did last night, what kind of service was that ! I hope when you read this , take actions to resolve your internal kitchen problems, it was horrible, don’t plan to visit that restaurant again !
We are from Atlanta but visit Charlotte often to see family. We’ve eaten here a few times and everything was delicious. The people are nice too!
Long Time Fan. My wife and I have been dining here since 1989 and have taken many friends there. We were originally taken by a Chinese couple that discovered it. To me , it is better than any Chinese in Chinatown in NYC. Recomend the emporer shrimp,basil grouper,and sauted string beans. Plum wine also good
Great Chinese food!. Just had dinner here a few hours ago. Food was great. Atmosphere was inviting and the service was fast and efficent. We started with the hot and sour soup and our entrees were the vegetable steamer, mongolian chicken, pork with mushrooms and an order of plain lo mein. Everything tasted great. I probably wouldn’t order the vegetable steamer again since it was mostly broccoli and at 12 bucks it was overpriced but that not withstanding, everything else was real good and I will go back. It’s also about 2 minutes from the Carolina Place mall in Pineville.
