Kelly’s Seafood in Shelby, NC. This is my opinion: What I noticed more than anything else at this restaurant was the fact that it needs a thorough cleaning. Even the napkin holders, salt, pepper shakers were very noticeably grimy, and had been that way for a long time.Ordered seafood platter so could get a bit of everything. The oysters seemed very undercooked and were gooey. We did not taste them. The flounder was not the normal piece of flounder you see but a square piece of fish that had been way over-fried. Went to wash my hands at the common area sink and a worker was pouring drinks and ice with lemon and some food bits in it beside two overflowing trashcans. Was she rinsing dishes for the kitchen??? Sorry, but it too (sink) looked like it had not been cleaned in quite a while.
