I’ve been to jaybee’s my whole life. They have good hotdogs, grilled chicken sandwich, and homemade chips. During lunch hours, the drive thru can get backed up because the food is not pre-cooked before ordering. Most of the time, the wait for the food is around 2 to 5 minutes.
Best burger in Statesville. We’ve ate at Jay Bee’s 3 or 4 times this year and every time it’s been very good and consistent. The fries are also great. We normally go for the burger even though they are known for their hotdog. Not sure what the heck happened the reviewer below but to say it isn’t even up to McDonald’s is a big fat joke. McDonald’s is garbage compared to JayBee’s.
Awful. I went to Jay Bees Hotdogs recently and will never return. This restaurant is for you if you like everything prepared and frozen or from a can. The hotdog had awful tasting chili from a can. The chicken sandwich at $3.49 was not even near the quality of McDonalds or Wendys $1 sandwich. The French fries were just ok.

Fun Place with Good Dogs. Many of us grew up remembering hot dog at family cook outs and the 4th of July. This place has taken it one step further while remembering what a hot dog is.Several years ago, this place made Gourmet Magazine top five hot dog drive in’sWhen I made it to Statesville, I decided to try it and you know what, Gourmet Magazine was right.What I consider to be the hallmark of a good restaurant is to take a concept and try to be the best there is within that concept. Jay Bee’s meets that criterior. Not fancy, not pretentious but just a good dog served the way you want it .Simple but an elegant dining experience in it most basic form. Wilma and Fred would be proud.
