Great staff, had a miscommunication with the order but they fixed it with another meal and for free. Pretty good food I had the fried chicken and my hubby had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and collard greens. All was very good and large potions we went home with more than enough for another dinner and lunch! Great staff and seemed like lots of regulars stopping in for takeout! Will be back in the future
This place is over rated. Soul food? Not on my level. Rated best macaroni and cheese? It was dry

Fresh Seafood!. Most of the time, I do not finish my plate when I eat out. I am rather finicky and do not like to eat too much in one sitting. I had no choice but to finish my plate. The croaker was amazing. It was definitely fresh fish. Most places have pretty smelly fish. Fresh fish does not have a loud odor and their fish was odorless. I grew up with a pond in my back yard and I know fresh fish when I taste it. Best food I have had in Charlotte so far!
Pretty Good. Thursday is the best day to go because they have smothered pork chops. I have been coming here for years and have enjoyed it a lot. The only problem is the last time I went I took friends from out of time and the pork chop was so tough and dry, we kept breaking our plastic silverware. I was really embarrassed.
