Trying To Find Good Food In Charlotte. My wife and I were visiting Charlotte on a business trip. We wanted to try some of the nice restaurants in the area trying have a great food experience. We tried Enso Asian Bistro and Sushi Bar (Very Expensive) and the Sushi was no better than super market Sushi. The next evening we ventured to Chima Brazilian Steak House (VERY VERY Expensive) and found the food to be only moderate. So, tired of paying out lots of money for not so good food we decided the next evening to just eat light and save the budget. After I got done with work for the evening, I surfed the web for a restaurant in the general vicinity and found Mia Japanese Restaurant. We thought we would try in and was blown away at the quality and taste of both the dinner and Sushi and WOW! it did not even come close to costing like the so called fine dining establishments. If you are in the Charlotte and want a great Hibachi /Sushi experience that won’t break the bank the try out this place.
Service average. Food below average. When they brought my alaskan roll to table I could smell it. It taste just as strong as smell I complained to two servers. They said it was because of the fresh shrimp. It was crab??? What?? Really??I grew up in the coast of NC I’ve never smelled fresh anything that smelled spoiled. I will jot be back. Very dissapointed.
Low marks for sushi. The prices were ok, but the sushi was not. The fish seemed of adequate quality, but every single item is either some version of tempura shrimp or a california roll, only substituting different kinds of fish. And it’s just thrown on a plate, no garnish, not even arranged nicely. Will not be going back.
If you think this pace has good Sushi then you must have no concept of Japanese cuisine. Waitress was nice, sushi was below average. I was starving and ate less than half my order. Hibachi might be alright.
This is a good spot for sushi! It is pricey but tasty. Go early in the lunch hours for best service.
Very good tempura, fluffy and light and delicious. The Lava roll was one the bomb! I will get it every time I go here and I will return.
Food is great and affordable but service is SLOW especially during lunch. I only place to go orders
