This is by far my favorite restaurant. I first ate there a year ago and was skeptical since I have never eaten Indian, safe to say it was worth the try. My boyfriend and I go about 1-2 times a month now and the staff members are extremely friendly, they have gotten to remember us. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. I have recommended it to many friends. I always walk away with left-overs and my co-workers always comment on how delicious the food smells. I attended the buffet recently and was pleased with the options available. This worked out great for me since I am completely familiar with Indian cuisine. I love it, the tikka masala is my favorite.
An okay place for dining, ate an afternoon buffet. Options were few and taste is okay. Tandoor roti was good. Could be better in taste. Might try again
Worth the drive. We drive all the way from Shelby to eat lunch at the Saffron. That ought to tell you something. I normally prefer a la carte to buffet food, but Indian food is the exception. I only eat buffet, and this is a good one. They have all my favorites, prepared well. They compare favorably to other Indian buffets I have enjoyed around the USA.
Great menu. Very traditional indian restaurant. clean and polite waitstaff. impressive place to impress a date. food spiced to order and a great selection of Indian beers and domestic wines. we ate vegetarian two nights in a row because it was so good.
Okay Indian, but not my favorite in CLT. They sure don’t like it when people come there with a groupon.
Likes it. Awesome Restaurant! My son and I usually have date night once a month and I like introducing him to different cuisines. I shop in the Indian market… My son is 13 he hates the smell of the market. I took him to this restaurant and he ABSOLUTELY loved it. My husband is not into trying different things either..I took him my leftovers on his lunch break and he called back raving about the food, the flavor, the everything. He wanted more the next day… My son would not share his leftovers.. I called to order a plate put they close at 1030pm on Saturday. That my critic friends was the only disappointment… My family and I will return..
Wonderful Indian Buffet. Saffron offers a wonderful buffet filled with a wide variety of authentic Indian cuisine. Their chicken tikki massala is amazing, they have wonderful tandoori chicken, good rice dishes, great vegetable dishes, some of the best samosas, and always some fresh garnishes, fresh fruit and dessert. The buffet is always good, but it’s really fantastic on Sundays. The cost is a little more on Sundays, but it’s completely worth it! On Sundays you can find some lamb and fish dishes on the buffet as well, and extra desserts. I fell in love with the food at Saffrons about 9 months ago, and it is the best Indian food I have found in the Charlotte area. Thank you Saffrons for consistently making great food for a great price!
