Hostess is the best. But other than that this place is terrible. Came here with a party of 4, it cost us $70. I’d be happier with a burger off of the dollar menu at McDonald’s. The service is terrible, took us 20 minutes to get drinks, and another hour and a half to get our food. The tuna melt is more like a spoonful of goop on an English muffin. The atmosphere is that of a galley on a ship. Overall I’d give it negative stars.
Good hamburger, service was good. Went to the Icehouse as my grandson who is stationed at Camp Lejune said it had great hamburgers. I would have order seafood but I had the hamburger and it was very good. I was surprised they had a great hamburger but they do. We were given a table to two and it was cockeyed. Had to put silverware pack under on leg and it still was level it felt like we were aboard a ship leaning real bad. Had to move to another table. Other diners did get seafood and it looked good and didn’t see anything left so I guessed it was good. Would recommend the hamburgers and will return.
We have frequented this restaurant for years during the spring and summer months. We decided to eat there last night. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We have loved the Asian noodle salad..Last night the dish was very cold and had none of the nice Asian flavors from before. We also ordered a drink and the bartender brought us something that was not made correctly. Really hoping this was just a bad night. Swansboro needs consistent good restaurants.

Good Seafood. Ate at several seafood places on the Crystal Coast during a recent 10 day vacation with 5 others. The food at the Icehouse was judged to be the best we had during the trip. Service was OK, atmosphere lacking. Very limited parking.
Excellent Choice. While vacationing at the Crystal Coast for a week, this was my favorite seafood restaurant. Went on a Saturday night and had to wait about 45 minutes, but that usually is a good sign and it ended up being worth it. Restaurant itself was a bit cramped, but it was very busy. Was very pleased with the service, our waitress was very professional and courteous. Ordered the grouper marsala and it was simply amazing. You could tell they had a well trained chef working the kitchen, great flavors and cooked to perfection. Others in my party were very pleased with their meals, which included the broiled seafood platter, coconut shrimp, and fried flounder. Will be returning to this establishment next time I find myself visiting the crystal coast area.
Food was good. Staff was terrible. We waited for a long time to be approached and waitress was aloof. Hostess took our drink order, she was rude. Busy but no excuse for terrible service.
