Amazing Food, Fabulous Staff…..And save Room for Dessert!!. We visited Swansboro for the first time a few weeks ago. We ate at Swansboro Food & Beverage Company. The moment you enter the restaurant, you immediately feel at home. Lori & her staff go above & beyond to make your experience a memorable one! While the food is simply outstanding (I had FIsh Tacos) the desserts are out of this world! In fact our table ordered one of each item, passed them around & then after everyone had a taste, we ate what we ended up with! A Dessert Roulette, you might say! If your travels lead you to Swansboro, be sure to stop in to Swansboro Food & Beverage! You will not be disappointed!
Lunch or dinner, both are a winner!!. We went to Swansboro NC a few weeks ago to walk around the riverfront, but also because some friends had told us about the Swan’s Burro Food and Beverage Company. We decided to try it for lunch. We walked in and were greeted and welcomed right away. We asked if we could look around the restaurant and were given a guided tour. The place is clean, open and welcoming, especially since the walls have tons of black & white pictures on the wall, like maybe family vacation photos. It just felt comfortable. We were seated, given menus, asked for our drink orders and told about some specials. We looked over the menus and these were the decisions: my wife chose the Company Grilled Cheese, my oldest son ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich, me and my other son opted for the Fish Tacos. Oh my goodness! It was a good thing everyone loved what they got because no one wanted to share. Knowing we had raised them better than that we decided dessert would be a refresher lesson in sharing; Banana Pudding Cheesecake. No. That is NOT two different desserts. It is one incredible, tantalizing, jaw dropping dessert. I’ll say it again-Banana Pudding Cheesecake.You’d have thought we hadn’t just eaten lunch and had instead been ship wrecked on an island without food for days watching us devour it. I dare say if our lunches hadn’t been so filling, the sharing lesson would have been lost! Anyway, we decided before we even paid the check ( I don’t remember exactly but it was reasonable for such good food and service) that we would be coming back for dinner. We spent the afternoon walking around the riverfront, exploring the shops and enjoying the fresh air and the view. After what seemed like forever and not just a couple of hours, we were back at the Swan’s Burro F&B Company. Same warm welcome. Same great service. Dinner orders were: my wife and I sharing the Company Chicken Dinner, one son-Fried Flounder, the other son-Shrimp & Grits. This time we all sampled each others choices and once again, we were ALL thrilled. Although we did not take enough laps around the riverfront to order dessert, we all decided it made an excellent reason to come back again, sooner, not later. They’ve got some stuff called Puppy Pudding that sounds amazing!! (The picture is how I felt driving home. Fat, full, but happy!)

Great Food!. I was in town for a short visit and decided to give the Swans Burro Food and Beverage Company a try. There were so many items that looked interesting on the menu that it was hard to decide. Good thing my son was with me so that we could taste each others choices. I decided on the shrimp and grits partly because the description intrigued me. The shrimp was blackened and in a spicy tomato sauce, but not overly spicy. The grits cake was just the right balance. My son had a bowl of mussels and I finished off the tasty broth. No bread needed for sopping the sauce up as I just ate it like soup. My son had the pan seared scallops for dinner and was willing to offer me only one because he wanted the rest for himself! Im not a scallops fan, but I must say these were cooked to perfection! For dessert, we shared a Puppy Pudding and I was blown away! I never knew hushpuppies could taste so good. The place was clean and the waitstaff attentive. Il be back tomorrow!
