Good Food Horrible Wait Staff. The food is great however the waitress was beyond horrible. It took 10 minutes to get a drink, 40 mins for our food, and the waitress is flighty or inexperienced. Not once but twice I saw her check her phone in the back cubby and respond to msgs on her phone while the entire dining room looked around for her. This is very unprofessional and sours me on the whole place. New management needed but the food is good. I also noticed that to go orders get precedence over dining in. This the horrible service we were charged $3.00 per ice tea which is highway robbery. I believe this place survives on two things, food and tourists.
Good food but slow service. My husband and I have had nothing but good food when we have eaten here. However, we do not go regularly so maybe we just lucked out. Each time we have been there has been the perfect timing, there were lots of tables open. It does take the waiters a while to get to you even if there isn’t anyone there. They seem really relaxed and carefree. My husband always orders a calzone because they are so huge. He can be full after just half and he can have the other half for lunch the next day. I would not go here if you are in a rush or have somewhere to be. Overall, we will go back and we do enjoy their food.
Good food, poor service.. We ate here under high recommendations. The food was quite good, but the service was poor. we had to wave down a busser to get a drink order. The waitress finally came around about ten or fifteen minutes after we were seated. We asked for more bread which the waitress again pawned off on the busser. We never got the bread. We ordered a calamari appetizer which came out at the same time as the first plate. It was about another five minutes before the second plate came out. The third plate, which was only a sandwich, did not come out until the first two plates were already eaten. We just had them box it up. The waitress apologised profusely and comped the sandwich, but we won’t be back. As other reviewers said, save the frustration of the service and very modest dining room and order it to go if you really want to try it, but there seem to be many more restaurants with much more competent management to choose from in the area.
Live nearby and love the food. Would eat here more but the service is horrible. It is so inconsistent. One day they are great and a week later its as if they just hired the 3 stooges. If it wasn’t for the good food I’d never come back.
Can’t Get Enough. I moved to this area in February of this past year, and discovered Trattoria towards the end of April. Since then I’ve been back frequently, and have always enjoyed my food and the friendly service.I’ve tried the pizza and the salads quite a few times and both are great (note: try something called the antipasto salad), but I think the pasta entrees are where they really shine. I’ve had shrimp marinara, alfredo, baked ziti, and eggplant parm, all of which have been great. They have some great looking desserts too, but I’m normally way too full.
Delish!. The best italian place i have ever eaten at!!! AMAZING pizza and appetizers and gorgeous view of the water. A tiny little place but those are always the best! Such a friendly staff- people need to get over it, running a business is hard! & they do amazing 🙂
