Been eating here for many years primarily dinner Never been disappointed great food and service.
Just got back from dinner there – first time and we were very surprised to find such a nice place with the selection they offer! A little pricey but food and service was great!
Dinner fantastic/breakfast terrible. The Beach shop has been a wonderful place to us for almost the 20 years we have been going to Topsail for vacation. In the past few years, the dinners and service at dinner have gone to GREAT and the breakfast service to F minus.We always eat dinner there, however; after trying 2 times last week to give it a chance, the breakfast wait staff is too busy chatting with each other to wait on customers, and when they finally do they behave as if they are doing a huge favor for the customer to wait on them. My coffee cup sat empty for almost 20minutes and we were the only 2 people there. I just got back form vacation at Topsail and I say if they ever get the breakfast staff right, we will go nowhere else for food our entire visit!
I’ve been going to the Beach Grill for decades and it has changed dramatically in the past few years. It has become more upscale and has some excellent dinner menu items. People actually dress a bit for dinner now. The seared tuna is excellent and don’t miss the banana caramel spring roll for dessert.
Locals Eat Here Regularly. I live on the mainland at Topsail and have been in the area since 1996. As a teenager I worked at almost every food joint on the beach, therefore I won’t eat at most of them. The Beach Shop is by far the best place to eat on the island without going to Wilmington or Jacksonville. The owners are great people, the desserts are to die for, and the food is phenomenal! Sure, they get busy during the summer tourist months, however, if a local will wait an hour and fight traffic and vacationers to eat here rather than cooking at home, you should definitely eat here!
Won’t Return, Ever. Breakfast with family. Service was very, very poor. Waitress forgot one drink for family member for 10 minutes, messed up on another family member’s order and had to get it redone. Forgot part of one order and did not bring toast until end of meal. When I bit into a piece had a long hair in it. Needless to say I would never ever return and don’t recommend to anyone else.
Outstanding food and service. We had a great meal this past Sunday night. The service was outstanding (thanks Justin), the food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
