Have eaten at many Mexican restaurants in my life, all of which were regular food and many of which were greasy spoon types. Not that there’s anything wrong with a good greasy spoon. But Gonza is different from any other Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s more gourmet and for prices that rival restaurants of lesser quality. Portions are slightly smaller but with an excellent guacamole and chips appetizer, I felt full afterwards.I had the enchiladas mole. The enchiladas themselves were incredibly tasty. Paired with a high quality mole sauce, with just the right amount of dark chocolate, they were out of this world!Just when I was thinking my dinner must have been the best of the 3 we ordered, my mother gave me a taste of her quesedilla with an exquisite blend of cheeses.Staff was helpful in adding extra beef to the 3rd dish and wanted to know how our online ordering experience had been in order to improve it.The food was excellent despite the fact that we ordered takeout.The restaurant is new and pretty with exposed brick and a nice covered patio.I would give Gonza 10/10!
Serving size WAY too smaill. A little shocked at the tiny portions. Three mini tacos, and then they give you only one side, rice or beans in a baby bowl sized little thing. Finished in minutes and left hungry. AYE CARAMBA!! Oh yeah, staff was great. Didn’t try the Tequila. Bar looked nice. Beans are dirt cheap – who the heck cheaps out on BEANS!?! Dios Mio!

Very small take out portions! Good, just would like more
Great food….teeny tiny take out portion. Hubby and I got take out- 2 meals just under $30. My portion I could fit in both palms. My hubby got fajitas….that had 4 small slices of chicken, 1 slice of mushroom?! I love the food, but it will be hard to get the hubs to give them another try.
