Dairy Depot: Our New Favorite Place To Go!. Dairy Depot opened in May 2012. It is a great locally owned traditional ice cream shop. They have quality soft-serve ice cream that is supplied from a local dairy. Their menu includes items that in some ways are similar to Dairy Queen but with some added local flair, such as the Krispy Kreme Trainwreck (DQ Blizzard). Their service speed is similar to any ice cream shop but with one big difference, they are extremely friendly. It appears the owner herself works most days. There is no inside seating but they have outdoor tables with umbrellas perched atop of a hillside overlooking the neighboring schools. They also have a drive-thru but we prefer to eat there. They also serve hotdogs and sandwiches but we have not tried them yet. It is quickly becoming a local favorite. Everytime we go we see community groups, a boys baseball team, a group of firefighters, a girls soccer team, police officers, etc. which makes it feel like a piece of small town in the middle of a fast growing community. All and all, we love it. The ice cream is very good and we enjoy the unique locally-owned feel. It is our new favorite place to treat the kids.
