The food was very good but the service was the most awful service I have ever experienced in Raleigh. We had a reservation for 8:30 and didn’t get sat until 9:15. The servers seem completely clueless about what is going on in the restaurant and the customers’ needs. No change was given for a $9 dinner bill when $20 was given to the server. The card reader was down and we waited 45 minutes before anyone came up with an alternate solution to not having cash. I mean really not worth the food for all the hassle with the service.

Really good food but very slow service! Farmers breakfast & french toast were amazing for Sunday brunch, but it took a very long time to get our first round of drinks(Bloody Mary and mimosa) and we even saw them sitting in the well. A different server had to run them to us. On our second round, same thing, this time we actually got up and walked over to the bar to pick them up! Go for the food & atmosphere but be prepared for super slow service!

Delicious! I’m usually not a big sandwich person, but these were so flavorful! Excellent use of herbs and seasoning. The rosemary on their fries was perfection! We got the sparrow and the schnitzel. Both were outstanding.

What a gem!!! Wow! This is definitely a must stop fine dining restaurant in downtown Raleigh!!! We returned for a 2nd night after searching for another dinner venue only to come up short. Ate at Capital Club 16 for lunch on Wednesday. Both of us in the party had the lunch special of the cheddar brat with kraut. Was absolutely perfectly cooked and very enjoyable. Took me back to Mnchen. We eat here about once a month and ive had everything from speacials like lobster mac and cheese to the pimento cheese crostini with fig. Its always a great meal and great atmosphere. The drinks are poured stout and the service is always wonderful.

Great weekend spot. This is a great place to eat and drink before a night on the town! The food is great the atmosphere is lively. Is just a fun place by the people – decorations are scant. They arent trying to hard, its just a nice atmosphere by itself. The foodis great and you get intoxicating smells from others’ tables. if you want cheap, they have a Schnitzel wich that is pretty good for under 10. most entrees are under 15. They have a small yet well picked beer list and they can make a cocktail!!! the drinks i get here are about 9 bucks and are on the same level as the foundation or foxes. limited selection, but quality. I highly recommend the Ol’ Fashioned. best ive had. Downside – small portions. if your REALLY hungry, you might want to look elsewhere.12 Feb, 2012Schnitzel sandwich. Tender and tasty!
