all my life I’ve heard go try clyde cooper bbq. Told me it was the best. NO NO and NOOO. I have tried all the places that say they are the best. So far Smithfield has not been beat. There bbq is really BBQ, Here at coopers they only take cash. It is not 1938 anymore. So people want to use their cards. Plus when I ordered a bbq sandwich and took it back to work with me, by that time the bun stuck to the cheap paper they wrap it in. So I had to use a knife and fork. Anyway I tasted it and it was one of the worst I have tried. Skip this place unless you really have to learn yourself it is not tasty like people told me. sorry…
I was not impressed at all. Went here for lunch on the suggestion of a friend. I don’t care about looks but the food is lack luster and definitely not high quality eastern nc bbq so I say pass and just go to the pit.
