Don’t believe the Gluten-Free. I’ve eaten here several times and usually bring a group. Several times now I have been burned by their bogus GF claims. Don’t know if it is the service staff (often a somewhat contemptuous blonde) or the kitchen but something is breaking down. I’m telling my crowd we need to move on. Since it has happened with both the supposedly gf Heat Seeker Shrimp and Lettuce wraps, I don’t trust anything anymore.
New York feel. Love the New York type of feel to it when you walk in.. I was already sold at that.. and very cool to have the DJ playing… I had the Dumplings, Crab Rangoons and Chicken Fried Rice… I was extremely impressed. Service was amazing and ginger martini was delicious! I will definitely be back! And am so glad Raleigh has this type of theme/restaurant….
Love It, probably one of the best resturaunts downtown Raleigh! The best customer service you can find…always willing to accomedate to any need and the mananger even offered us a complimentary dessert wine!! The ambiance and decor make this a modern upper class diamond in the rough!!! Can’t say enough about my experience and would recommend it to anyone!

The food is sensational and its diversified menu that offers both authentic and modern Asian cuisine will tantalize the most discriminating of tastebuds. In addition, the city chic atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to enjoy a night on the town.
As a resident of 12 years in Raleigh, I have experiences the rapid growth of the community and Five Star has been there since the beginning. It has been and is the leading family owned establishment in raeligh by far. It has arguably the most experienced and sophisticated bartenders and waiters in the area. The family who owns five star helped elevate the level and skill those people working in the service industry to reach the quality of similar places in New York or other big communities. Five star is highly recommended for the full experience of a wonderful night out
Amazing. I thought the food was amazingly great. Though I missed the crowds because of my work schedule.A cool place – far far better than most of the downtown restaurarants.
Best Chinese i have had. Best recipes and food by far. Kills PF Changs. Don’t know why they have such a bad rating. Everyone I have taken there has rated it number 1! The meals are huge and the prices are on par with PF Changs…..but so much better quality. The crispy beef and general chicken is the bomb.
