Awful customer service experience. I showed up 20 minutes early to watch a game with a friend, buy drinks, and get food for a game. I have my spot at the bar in front of the tv. Guy comes in 5 minutes before the game and gets the tv switched after I had ordered my first set of drinks. Immediately closed out with a $0 tip and will never go back.
Racist. Sad that they didn’t even ask for my ID before turning me away something is fishy about that.
Solid beer but…. One of the best beer selections in raleigh BUT the food has steadily been going downhill. i had a buffalo chicken wrap which was pretty darn horrid. my fav pork belly sandwich was taken off, along with 2-3 other favorite food items. there are a lot of other places to drink a huge selection of beer that have better food. beer club is a gimmick. i dont like standing at a kiosk to order by beer. i look at a computer screen all day . last thing i want to do at happy hour.23 Jan, 2012Beer drinkers happy hour hang-out. Do i even need to comment on the beer? Plus, its a fun atmosphere. The food is pretty solid for pub food – ive never had anything bad or something ive thought was overpriced. Nothing amazing, but all solid and goes very well with the beer. Great place for a happy hour 1-2 times a week.
More than Beer!. I have to say, best Ruben Sandwich and German Potato Salad I’ve had in a long time! No one ouch of grizzle on the corn beef and a huge amount of it on the sandwich! My German Mother-in-Law made some of the best potato salad: while this isn’t exactly the same, it is darn close! I don’t usually try my favorite sandwich any where but NYC, but I’ll go here any time!
Lots Of Beer Options, Need I Say More!
Good, casual dining.. Unbelievable and freakishly large soft pretzels! So light and buttery. What to wear: your thinking cap. Fun place to go for trivia (Tuesday nights). This place is a lot bigger than I assumed from looking at the outside of the building.Free parking is tough to find. Otherwise, it’s $3 in the lot adjacent to them. The main room is large and noisy. For some peace and coziness, ask to be seated in the back room.Try one of their sampler flights of beer for $8.50: you’ll get about four ounces of five different brews with some theme connecting them all.$28 for a salad with chicken breast, two beers and a flight, gratuity not included.
Love the beer!. This is absolutely a great place to try out some new beers that you’ve hoped to try…or that you’ve never heard of. Their beer selection and German-influenced menu make the trip into downtown Raleigh completely worthwhile.
