We were on a short vaca in Raleigh and this restaurant/bar was up the street from our hotel. Had drinks and sushi and was really good. Decor is nice. Staff was nice. Wasn’t overly packed at the time we went. Def. recommend it!
Nice ambiance, prices high. While we really enjoyed the ambiance of Sono, excellent service, and the location of being in downtown Raleigh, we were quite disappointed by the high prices and small portions. The sushi didn’t live up to the expectations derived from the pictures and descriptions noted in the menu. The shrimp hibachi was good (not great) and had maybe 8 shrimp and less than a cup of vegetables for $22.
Sushi was great, service was awesome, John was a great server. The drinks from the bar were quite weak but tasty.
Awesome!. Amazing sushi, tasty wine. Would appreciate a sushi special during the week though. This would make me a frequent visitor 🙂

Great anniversary dinner!. We recently went to SONO to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have to say this was far and away the best service we have had in the Triangle in quite a long time. Our server, Sherry was a consumate professional. She had an intimate knowledge of the menu and was able to give great suggestions that we would not have tried otherwise. It made for an amazing dining experience. She gave us very timely service without hovering over the table. The food was top notch. All of the courses were very fresh and flavorfull. When she found out it was our anniversary she went out of her way to make it special for us. We couldn’t ask for a better experience and can’t wait to return.
Great Place! Sushi were FRESH and service Perfect! Me and My Date had a great time!
