I visited there once by myself and once with my fiancee. Neither time was memorable. I know that the sandwiches we both had were not that good. Drinks Selection Had No variety. Nothing stood out about this place.
My family and I really enjoy coming here, especially for lunch when it isn’t as crowded. The food is spectacular and it’s always fun to try new things each time I go. Not to mention the waitstaff is always extremely friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves some good bar food!
Sometimes the food is okay, sometimes it’s terrible. The noise level can be unbearable at times and the later the night, the drunker the crowd. If you’re looking for a party atmosphere, give it a try. If you’re looking for a casual pub where you can enjoy good food with good friends then keep walking. Pubs are a dime a dozen in Raleigh and this one doesn’t stand out, at least not in the ways it tries to.
Raleigh Times is housed in the building that used to distribute the old Raleigh newspaper. That being said, I’m pretty sure the current operation is doing much better than the former! The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely! If you have a chance you should try to get a seat on the rooftop. The view is amazing, and it adds to the overall experience. I can’t think of a better bar to visit!
One of my favorite places in Raleigh to grab a bite. This place can get busy on the weekends but you just seat yourself which is nice. Great Mexican food here but I love the burgers, sandwiches and salads as well. Fair prices. Nice atmosphere and staff. Trendy place! lincolnparkminute.com
Absolutely miserable. If I could give a zero review I would. Last call was at 1 am which would be fine if they closed at 1 am, but their hours….posted on the door….was 2 am. I asked if I could stay in at 1:45 am so I could wait for my cab that had already been requested and the bouncer told me he was going to pick me up (literally) and carry me out of the bar. Not only was that at complete disrespect to me as at woman but also as at patron who had spent money there. I will never spend a dime here ever again, which is sad because this was my go-to bar in raleigh. I hope people reconsider going here before they realize how much of a lazy, sexist staff they have here. I hope they realize how close they are to a lawsuit.
Snooty Bartenders, Rude Waiters and Bully Bouncers. I have been going to the Raleigh Times since they have opened and do not think I will ever be back. The service has been on a steady decline since the start and has now reached a point where your patronage is received as as an inconvenience to the staff. I was appalled by the way I was treated the last two times I went to Raleigh Times. It is a shame that poor management has turned what was once a great restaurant into a nest of snooty bartenders, bully bouncers and flat out rude waiters.
